EDIT: In ZBrush a subtool had streaks in its color almost as if a portion of it was masked which it wasn't. It turns out that Surface --> Noise was enabled which caused the discoloration. The issue went away after Noise was disabled.
Looks good man! Nice rock sculpts. I dig the mini waterfall/stream as well...maybe you could get some particles around the areas where it runs into the rocks so it looks like water is splashing off of them a bit.
Yea i'm slow but i just found out today while i was at the comic book store picking up the new Fathom bounded volume. Sad times. His work was a big influence on a lot of my art/ anatomy while i was learning how to draw. My bookshelves are mostly stocked with his work. Sad news for me after getting back from a nice week and…
You mean with Octane or Redshift ? I actually did tried to learn it 10 years ago . Simple things took 100x time vs even 3d max. Blender nodes now looks so much more logically intuitive for me and what's a big plus totally optional. But I haven't even tried Houdini since.
I can only imagine what your mix files must look like for the break dance, heh. You might find puppetShop limiting because it has 3 layers for its clips, the transition tool is really just a faked planted key and the clip management is a bit cumbersome. But you can't beat it for rig flexibility, need 50 arms, ok. Its also…
It really depends on what version you're using. max 9 and lower: - Disable autosave. It had several issues with stability and it also would clear out the undo list. It was fixed in newer releases 2008 SP2 or it was in with the creative extensions, I think. Don't crank up the number of undos, and don't crank back in the…
Hello! I'm new here, and I need some Feed back on this Animation I just made. I'm not too sure if this goes here because I just see a lot of 3D animations around here, But it does just say Animation so I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. it is a bit messy, but that was because I was just figuring out the software. any…
Hi all, Digital Drifters is an independent team working on a UE4 title. We're currently building into a vertical slice of our game - the game demo. We are looking for people with demonstrable skill in creating quality 3D animation using "next-gen" techniques. Those techniques have been slightly altered in UE4. Not only can…
I think that is acceptable, you're zoomed in pretty close and it's still holding up "pretty well". At a distance it starts to look like scales so that would be concerning to me because that is the first impression people will have. Instead of tinting random clumps you probably want to tint the lower shells darker if you…
The proportions in the concept are fairly consistent when it comes to aligning decorative and structural elements. On the upper staircase the stringers and mill work land almost directly on top of where posts would go on either side of the opening in the wall assembly underneath the second floor. The panel work covering…
