I am recreating the main gun and all its attachments to match the concept art as closely as possible. The high-poly model is complete, and I will soon post the textures. Thank you https://www.artstation.com/artwork/gR5kwL
The first things I notice with the 3d version are the feet and legs. In the concept they are much more muscular and shaped. - The claws in your model are too low poly and spikey whereas in the concept, they are much rounder. Spend a few more polies here to round them off. Try to integrate them more into the foot. For…
@brad, yea I adjusted his proportions in zbrush to the orthographics but then I pulled them away and fixed what seemed wrong. During that fix I think things went a bit awry. My class mates suggested bringing in his shoulders even though that would skew proportions. I also notcied that I gave him much smaller shoulders in…
very good execution and detailing especially. i think where you missed a lot of the concept's appeal is in the stance and overall attitude of the vehicle. the ammunition drum is especially off; it isn't big enough, it isn't positioned as well, and it doesnt have the forward cant that makes such a big impression on the…
Damn this is cool looking man, love paul's concepts and you're doing a good job matching the style. After writing this i saw at the top of the thread you might not be trying to 100% match the concept and these are pretty much written with that in mind, so take 'em with a pinch of that salt! Right now i'd say both her nose…
Yeah, at Polycount they only rub your shoulders and call your shit a masterpiece after you've been here for quite a while. There's 2 sides to everything: It's fine to base your work off other people's concepts. Actually, unless you're aiming for a lead position it's a terribly good thing to show that you can work off other…
I dig that you're working towards Alucard, but there are some things I see that strike me as off. Take it with a grain of salt, since I'm no character artist, but maybe someone who is will drop in and clarify or correct my suggestions. -- I think you're missing a # of key elements that are found in the concept, mostly…
a little improvement on the design,i put some flat color to make it easier to see, still i have to think about what to do in all the central piece, but i have already some ideas.. My main problem at the moment is that i am trying to imagine/visualize on my mind the scene/place & right now i have 2 different scene concept in…
Great idea. But you need to execute that concept very well. Don't copy styles too closely, bring your own artistic strengths to the piece but stay true to the general aesthetic of the company and the concept. If you really nail it, you should have a great piece! I'd suggest trying not to pick concept too locked into one…
Whoa..wait up buddy..you're going on too fast! First you want to be able to do a good concept character artist...then you want to make a good 3d model out of the concept that you draw previously...then you want to animate it........and even coding lol so basicly you want to create a fully functional game all by your self??…
