Thanks for your time guys, I'll try when I get home, also with Straighten the uv do you mean that i must make the border perfectly straight? Sorry for any grammatical error but I'm using the smartphone
in max it helps to apply an edit normals modifier to your model.. i have no idea why it helps, but it usually fixes most normal map errors for me. you dont have to do anything to it, just apply the modifier and collapse it.
btw, it's possible that if you don't have 2Gb RAM you will get an "out of memory error". Disable the dilation filter, AA smooth edges and antialiasing or render 512x512 map as maximum. I'm working to make it more efficient at the moment.
Nice and thank you. I just saw this posted on the ValveDev Community Wiki. Have the hacked L4D SDK, but have had many errors so far and crashes. Looking forward to the official release, which I hope is soon.
I can't play it. I get a dirty disc error whenever I load the beta. Crackdown works perfectly and I tried my roommates' copy of Crackdown too. It must be my 360 is too awesome to play in the beta.
Here is the error.... Windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINNT\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEMced The "ced" is part of the regular Windows 2000 message where you press F8 to get more startup options
hey guys i started texturing the ak but i have this smoothing error it curves in insted of out any ideas how to fix it? the smoothing in max is perfect everything looks great but in 8monkey lab its all backwards :S
Well guys looks like I'm throwing the towel in. I've tried for about 14 hours to try and fix this, but everything I try to it fails. Everything projects fine but there are some projection errors and the morph brush isn't doing anything.
On you next update, can you also show a front facing view? That plus the perspective view might help at least me personally spot any proportion errors. Which so far I don't see any.
ok small update just before we add the new harbour geometry and props and stuff, first quest is added and it starts feeling a little like a game, shader tweaks here and there and a lot of trial and error and here we go
