Hello all

This is my attempt to texture my shotgun i made a while back
note i am not a texture artist as you are going to see :poly124:

i have also exportet it into ce3

i like how clicking the thumbnail takes me to some crazy cluttered page with a huge lightnight bolt and a small version of your picture, which still isnt being displayed in full resolution even though ive clicked it numerous times..

well done photobucket.

edit: i think my above post was a bit unclear. what i mean, next time use the direct image link instead of that pre-generated photobucket advertising crap.

and take bigger pictures.. none of the details are visible, texture looks like just a solid color from so far.

Looks fine, though there looks like some weird shading issues on the stock of the gun near the little inlet. I don't know if it's a problem or in the design. Can you post wireframes?

i think that is a normal map issue that i will fix

i think your edges are too tightly beveled in the high poly.. correspondingly, there's little smooth edge shading on your low poly.. try making them softer

in max it helps to apply an edit normals modifier to your model.. i have no idea why it helps, but it usually fixes most normal map errors for me.

you dont have to do anything to it, just apply the modifier and collapse it.

i have found where the problem lies

its the highpoly its two lines that is overlapping i will fix it soon and bake it again
