very good, especially cool when you zoom in, the f35 texture looks a bit colourful, like an oldschool diffuse lighting texture but its actually using a pbr shader?
Man, most of these old tutorials sucked! :D !! If classic hand-painted diffuse textures is what you're after, maybe we should write some new tutorials! :poly142:
God rid of the camo layer in the diffuse. Two different directions below. I still wanna go with the solid black look though Someone mentioned breaking up the materials
If you keep seeing this issue try setting the diffuse boost in the world settings to 1. By default they are set to 3 or 5 and they tend to produce some weird results. Hope that helps!
It's getting there. I would ease off on the cavity map in the diffuse and get larger gradient's and less saturation in the colors. Right now it feels really noisy and like a plastic toy.
Have you been tweaking the lightmass settings in the world properties? It seems like it could be a setting like diffuse boost, environment intensity, etc. that may be turned too high.
That's a really bad render for showing off a model. :( Please consider using a dark diffuse with moderate spec and gloss. From what I can see it looks pretty good.
Thanks 3shold! Here is the new shot with the Spec in there. I was trying to keep it looking just slightly scuffed up, do you think it still needs more variation in the Diffuse?
Thanks for that pic I have kinda been going off of newer gold items and I am starting to adjust the diffuse color of the gold and also the spec color, Thanks
