They make high end CPUs largely because manufacturing silicon chips of this complexity and density isn't reliable enough. Hello, I had once an image on my computer explaining how to weld and cut a higher poly cylinder to a lower poly... Imaginge you have an object with a fat base and its getting slimmer at the top, so you don't need as much polys as at the base. Exatly that was what this tut was explaining. My latest upgrade was 1080Ti to 4070Ti, the performance boost is great and the power consumption, heat and noise went down. Did some undervolting as well. Besides the power connector, you need to consider the height and length of the card, they grew a lot. Depending on maker and model, there is quite some variety as well,… -
