I am in first of a digital arts school and aiming to go for game dev, but i need to also pass on preproduction. I have been drawing since october and shading for over a month. But the shading and coloring is still a total disaster.
Final submission, not enough time to polish/finish it, but at least it's done ! :p gg all ! Hello, I am a bit late but i am starting a sub-marine den. References : Sketch : Block Out :
thanks for the feedback. yeah the textures were just slapped on that one. def not my "hey its finished piece" i just wanted to see color on it. Again thanks for the input.
to me, the wrist on screen right seems un natural, it seems like its resting on an invisible surface, and I agree with PolyHertz, adding some secondary motion will def help
@bjporter Hey thanks man! I def got lots to improve, and make some more art. It's about 6,200 triangles with some internal parts for gameplay + magazine
Well, in looking at posts of threads like this one... How you model dem shapes? I'm lead to believe that in specific areas pentagons can be a good thing. Any thoughts?
Teampixel is a nobody "design" company http://teampixel.com/ who do cheap badly designed community websites and portfolio websites. Zero game dev experience, or even marketing experience.
Open the deformation palette, switch Rotate from Z to X, and type in 90 Use ctrl+shift to hide them, then use tool: geometry: del hidden to delete them
Good job. Def very dark souls-y. Horns don't look as good as the rest but those shaders are insane, specially compared to the "simple" geo that the armor pieces have.
