If you have some engineering skrillz its easy to make a homebrew AC. First, you buy a cheap 10 dollar fan from Walmart, or a bigger one if you'd like. Then get a clean garbage can, a huge bucket, whatever. Now get some copper tubing and run it from the bucket to the fan, and wrap it in coils around the backside of the fan.… -

not sure a lot of the anatomy is making sense, at first blush. Are those wings, or petals? I had assumed bug wings, but the one render has them wrapped all around, which makes me think leaves/petals. I think we're still best served by manually placing long curved fins (or squashed tubes), reusing the same painted texture on each. Specular is a problem I haven't solved yet though, without requiring an anisotropic specular. The specular needs to be squished out in a direction perpendicular to the hair growth direction.… -

Doing a contract right now which is pretty much the same workwise my advice would be to normalmap the roof, and then cut in some irregular forms and shapes out of the map to give some tiles more depth (for lighting and siloutte).
