Thanks Chami79, We didn't use iClone software. We tried to use it...but as we were little late for competition..we started working with Autodesk Maya So Modeling/Rigging/Animation : Autodesk Maya Texturing/Sculpting : Adobe Photoshop and Z-Brush Editing/Compositing : Nuke and Aftereffects
Hey Martin, while it works better in the newer versions, i have such a terrible slowdowns in the 21 version. I have a ryzen 3700x and accordingly to Autodesk, i need to turn off SMT to make it work better. But i think that it's quite lazy from Autodesk to not have it compatible with a multithreaded cpu.
Sorry (and I know this sounds like a broken record), but we're unable to make and statements or confirm anything regarding any future releases or products. People are happy the wave their finger and say this type of thing is a deliberate Autodesk cop-out, but it's not. Autodesk is a public company and there are certain…
Blender can't use the autodesk SDK because of licensing which is why the supplied exporter/importer is shit. Implementing an FBX exporter/importer for blender using the Autodesk SDK would be trivial. If a studio seriously wants to push Blender into their pipeline they'll write their own - which they can because they're…
Okey well i found out that if I renamed the enu folder to another name.started 3ds max which created a new and the problem was gone C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2011 - 64bit\enu to C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2011 - 64bit\trash_enu
Hey, so you were right. For whatever reason, the Autodesk Desktop App doesn't show/download updates for my Maya LT install, even after reinstalling, so I was on the base release. I downloaded all 3 updates directly from Autodesk and now I have the new features.
My mistake I didn't mention the softwares used - Autodesk Mudbox 2009 for the high poly, Meshlab for optimizing, Autodesk 3ds Max 2009 for base mesh, texturing and rendering ( V-ray here) here is an interior shot, polycount of each machine gun is 3300 quads ( I presume its also high)
I think turtle was supposed to come with Autodesk Entertainment Creation Suite, but I don't see it in there either? Maybe the missed the deadline and had to ship without it. I was able to get a trial of turtle at work but had to e-mail autodesk. http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/pc/index?id=13420613&siteID=123112
Your answer is both, it can also bake your AO from the normal map. However you want, with a good speed and quality. Yes, it's autodesk stuff now, but you can wait until 2012 have it. Hopefully they will do it free. I heard Maya 2011.5 already have it if you have Premium Autodesk account.
Yea, they changed that in 2011, it's annoying. There were a few tweaks to the 3dsmax.ini file that you can make, but they only effect new objects not cloned objects. http://www.the-area.com/forum/autodesk-3ds-max/autodesk-3ds-max--3ds-max-design-2011/odd-new-renaming-feature-the-extra-zero/page-last/
