Have you thought about using a Wacom? I found that to be the most effective way to prevent repetitive strain injuries. Variety is the most important thing to prevent hand strain and with a Wacom and mouse I can switch between the two different control types. -

Forgetting to drop the wacom pen before going afk to get something to drink/answer the phone/whatever, then putting it down somewhere in house without noticing, returning to the comp to find the wacom pen is missing... let the pen hunt begin... <___<; -

I was gonna buy the "slim" one, but decided not to due the reputation they have.. What makes wacoms better, though, is partially their tablet driver. I've tried a trust tablet on a wacom driver and it performed many times better, except the pressure sensitivity did not work. Perhaps aipteks work on the wc driver as well,… -

Have you tried * Installing the drivers directly from Wacom? * Restarting the computer after installation? * Manually resetting the Wacom Professional Service? * Are ALL of your drivers updated? Since I don't really have the hardware or win10, I could only suggest from what helped me when my tablet didn't work. -

When there are that many exclamation marks, you know he means business. Also wacom all the way, not sure what you can get for the amount of euros you have and i cba converting it to £ (:D) but it should be plenty for a pretty good wacom. -

Yes now that you mention, it was "hold for right click" that was messing me up as well. It wouldn't click until you moved the wacom. So modeling in maya using a wacom was impossible. @dr grim: Yes the little app I linked is a tiny .exe you run which quickly disables every annoying windows 7 pen feature. -
Cintiq too expensive? Build your own!
This guy built his own Cintiq from a £30 12x12 wacom tablet and a £38 LCD screen from a broken laptop, both purchased off of eBay. I can't find a total cost but he said it's 5% the cost of a Cintiq which costs £2,999 from wacom's europe store so he spent around £149 by my calculations.
