They can cost a lot those workshops though. Digital tutors is good for the buttons. The voice over guy is a little bit annoying sometimes too. If you are only looking for modelling, go with Eat 3d all the way. But DT can be great for other stuff like rigging, rendering, animation... All depends on what you need I guess.… -

From my experience i tried learning stuff from youtube but that was too random and got me demotivated. Some years later i subscribed on pluralsight (former digital tutors) and for 30$ per month i could see unlimited courses. Some stuff are not explained in every course though, but they are mentioned so that you understand… -

Nice high detailed models. Accurate. Go to a hardware store and buy a digital micrometer and other measuring tools (for curved surfaces and stuff $12~$30) and make something super intricate, give it nice materials (accurate as you can). Then do a simple render of it exploded and together. Then do another one, and another… -

What everyne else said. Save up, and drop some bones on a digital tutors account. Pick ONE, that's ONE area you want to excel in and just devour video tutorials on the subject.
