I saw your 2d artwork on concept art, really great stuff. Nice mesh you have there, how many polygons does it have? Anyways looking forward to see it textured. Keep it up.
Select the plane with the spokes on it, duplicate it and flip it. From what I've heard (from reliable sources), double sided rendering is more expensive than just duplicating the polygon and flipping it, plus it doesn't light correctly.
been enjoying watching you on this one. as you know, 3d isn't really my thing, but your polygon flow/distribution/form making has made rapid gains. keep up the good work
I made this zombie today. He's far from finished.. It was just a little practice sculpting. I'm going to polygonal model a zombie soon though. Last night i connected the previous dungeon areas:
God I loved Dark City. Looking forward to seeing these textured. What version of 3DS Max do you have? 2012 got significant improvements to its performance under high polygon counts.
Hmmm, maybe if I were you, I would add some extra polygons, where the normal map won't be enough to define the volumes and silhouette : But someone else might have a different opinion. Anyone ?
just a quick thing I noticed: the silhouette of the skull on the belt is too polygonal thus ruining the illusion of being a high detail mesh that using a normal map is supposed to create. A few extra edges will correct this.
I'm using MAYA 2008 Extension 2 In your viewport menu, under Shading, switch on Polygon Transparency Sorting, as opposed to Object Transparency Sorting, this will fix all your alpha problems. See Example : -
3dcoat has symmetrical copy/clone tools, and you can adjust your symmetry by selection matching polygons one each side, but I'm definitely keen to one day be able to do handpainted texturing in Blender as well! Cool to see you exploring it. How does Bpainter work in recent versions of Blender, as I understood it was…
Hello, my name is Christian. I'm new to Polycount. I've procrastinated on registering here. :) This is what I'm doing for class, and wondering what the best and quickest way to lay this out would be. This is just under 6000 polygons.
