Hey guys, Im looking for some feedback on this guy I am working on. Anything that stands out as "wrong" or aint doing it for you . He is meant to be some sort of jungle boy like tarzan so that is why he has bigger arms and defined chest. So would love to hear any thoughts! Cheers
Currently, there is no way to define a custom thumbnail image. There are some known bugs in Toolbag 4.02 with Viewer lighting not matching what is set up in Toolbag. We have these problems fixed internally and these fixes will go out with the 4.03 update, at which point the thumbnail should be a much better match.
I only just learned about them. I did go and look up some definitions so that I could learn the fundamentals of what it is. But I do know it helps define the roughness of the surface. I would absolutely love any further information about it.
A sandbox is a wooden box full of finely ground silicone dioxide. Defining what makes the sandbox in a gameplay-sense is instrumental to understanding its place, otherwise we'll do as perna and end up bunching together two largely different game series (fixed: elderscrolls and gta)
Or just L . N, multiply a number depending on how many different shades you want, floor or ceil the value and divide by the same number you multiplied it with. You could also use ramps to define the colour, just input the lambertian term into the UVs of the ramp texture.
ya to make thigns work with the G key you can more or less define what gets repeated in your script, there is a undocumenated command called repeatLast, that lets you assinge a command to be repeated. though the syntax is kinda fucked up, but it still works all the same.
Cheers m8, keep grinding them environment images! : ) I would suggest that you work abit more on the lighting inside the images to better define form/shapes. Perhaps try and study environment images made by other artists (just throwing ideas out there). Keep at it : )
@PyrZern: Nice, good job. @J_Kirkwood: I think her skull is too wide, the collar bone should have more defined shape. And I'm not sure but her lower legs seem too small. I like how you did her nose and lips.
darbeenbo, thanks for the great advice, - I appreciate that. I'm definately going to do what you said and rework all the images, setup a consistant design or frame I can show my work in and provide the necessary information. very helpful, thanks for taking the time. - Pat
Thanks for taking the time to comment, any preferences for any of the post? By mushy rocks you mean ill defined edges or "meat looking" because yeah they suffer a bit from both atm I think. Ground textures being blurry: all of them, the shadows? the mud?
