I think I'm almost to my 8-10 weeks since I sent my form in for the 5 free movies. I've forgotten what most of them were that I ordered, so hopefully I haven't purchased any of them since I sent it in. >_<
Ya Rick, I'm still dealing with Vertex lighting for interiors on City of Heroes, so all my big areas are broken up into 8' segments for the close LOD and 16' segments for draws past 100' or so. Past that you can't really tell that the lighting is changing.
Just booked the flights for myself Eagle an another mate so were down for sure. Plus there is another 6 from our studio going over ( Jackablade ), and I think about 8 from WhiteEagles studio so looks like there will be a decent crew kicking around...
I had seriously thought of doing sam also...I think the most interesting concept is the one that was made into a figurine...look that up for some sweet ref. DAve http://www.starstore.com/acatalog/25_sam_twitch_L.jpg http://www.amazon.com/Twitch-Figure-Clas...4589&sr=8-3
Yeah, are there any reviews for this model? For an 8 x 6 drawing tablet, $35 would be a fantastic price. I would just want to make sure it performs decently. I'm currently sporting a smaller Hanvon tablet, which is already pretty ghetto as far as tablets are concerned.
looks real good man, lots of quality stuff there. my favorate is the dude in the black stealth gear. I also like your rino guy alot, liked him back during the competition too. 8-) looks like a solid portfolio, are you looking for work?
I've never done a stint in any MMO for more than 6 months... I usually get bored of the gameplay and environment... I don't really find it fun to run around pressing buttons to shoot pixels at pixels for 8 hours at a time (to do anything meaningful)
Fun idea, but I can't help noticing your polycount is spread very unevenly. You have 8 sided wheels that look very rough, yet you use so many poly's on small things like the cannon, mirrors or those details on the Kubel's hatch...
yeah, it can piss polys about like nobody's business, and they're generally easier to compress than textures ... your best bet is to add more geometry to your buildings for shape and to make the most of smaller, tileable textures. Lower bit depth (4/8) is standard
Just built a new machine, installed xp64 on it and seems like it runs great, was thinking of dual booting xp64+vista but really i haven't found a single reason to use vista yet. I've got my 8 gigs of ram working in xp and all is good.
