in before Bellsey with "Autodesk have had inter-program switching for a few years now". sure, "switch to *" is okay in Autodesk software, but this is fucking crazy awesome. my next project will be learning Modo so i can leave max in the dust.
Hello, I'm seeing that some time trying to play the users autodesk 3ds max to maya, I saw in this forum that the company XSI'ng 3d max, and also after discontinuation of XSI, allowed free autodesk 3ds max or migrations maya for those who still had a chain of subriscri
well you got wrong man, i meant having a licence from autodesk or pixologic to make tuts with theier softwares (i hear alot in DT or any other website "autodesk authoried publisher or something) sorry for repleing too late :)
Autodesk Maya (can sign up for a free learning edition), Autodesk 3dsmax, Softimage XSI, Lightwave, theres acouple of more free and cheap programs I'm sure someone else knows about but can't recall off the top of my head.
couple of month ago i try using parametric modelling on fusion 360 and it was a mind blown experience, and now i a bit lose motivation using traditional surface modelling especially for hard surface surface modelling can take a lot of time just for making a simple thing or adding a simple detail create a multiple scatter…
Dataday your spin isn't convincing. The Foundry is employing the same cynical outlook to the indie market that Autodesk is. Are they as extreme as Autodesk? no, but the outlook and the approach is the same. They both place arbitrary limits on the software that will get in the way of getting work done. Why should anyone pay…
That is exactly it. There are more without a traditional modeling background, then those with; therefore that is why Mudbox didn't grow compared to zBrush. I believe Autodesk in that sense did have the right idea but didn't realize the statistic of the two types of modelers, something Autodesk has done in the past.
Then , i see helmet carefully . So .... need evaluated on polygon mesh. Now , i need software for edit " Helmet Lady Warrior " in this case ---------> repair model sculpt ( i use Meshmixer from Autodesk ) then bring to Autodesk Mudbox for more detail. This look on progress
I never used maya earlier because of its UI, but it looks alot better nowadays and it seems to be given much more care by autodesk. And seeing as how Max is categorized under architecture on autodesks website leads me to believe it is used more for hardsurface :P.
Yeah Autodesk should be actually ashamed. I'm really happy that they are making those changes but cmon... its 2012 and it should be there long time ago. Resizable CUI window... ? They needed all those years to come to conclusion that it should be bigger ? Autodesk you so weirdo.
