I just love this. It's everything I love about gameart in terms of being bright, bold and cute. All the forms are nice and rigid clear and the colours match it well, but im a sucker for those communist red colour schemes.
This has to be it, guys. I think removing shading is the key judging from those examples, good job Pior & Muzz. Subtractive art instead of additive. We need to stop thinking so 'western' about our gameart ^ _ ^
This is my first progress screen. ~6000 tris. This i work for my future gameart portfolio. Do you think 6000 tris is to heavy for at next-gen game prop? (xbox 360, ps3) Is 2048*2048 textures a bit to much?
hey! I checked out the GameArt Workshop and saw the AW weapon. Just curious on how to model some parts of it. Oh and no im not joining the GameArt Workshop #4. I'm just trying to learn some new stuff, hehe So the part im going to ask about is 1) Can you see the shape is curved, and goes inwards? Havn't been able to get…
got plenty of shit in the work. also i updated my site a few times lately with stuff. ill have to redesign my site sometime tho. it was intended for the gameart. not the designpart has become so heavy. that demands more room than the little block im giving it.

In any case it will be interesting to compare Painter to Marii, once it will be released especially in terms gameart…
Warrior is a modeling practice that aimed to improve my hard surface modeling skills in modeling tactical clothing and gear, as well as texturing skills. It was a lot of fun modeling this realistic 3D character model and learning a lot in the process, especially in Substance 3D Painter. Discover more:…
lol. i live for this shit. morrowindssky (whatever your usename is) why did you register at polycount? unless you want to do gameart theres no point in being here just to post shhit. seriously there are other forums to do that sort of shit just type on google: forums to troll on
Thanks Nynedown I did think of dividing up the 3D page and into gameart and non game art but that proved confusing because its all sorted chronologically by year at the moment so the easiest way I could think of to show off just game art was to have a new page for it.
I expect I will contribute again, certainly I have more things I can comment on than I did before and I have a lot of information on carpal tunnel, rsi, tendonitis, arthritis and general hand / posture related to gameart creation. Great work Rick. r.
