Welcome to polycount! :) Your portfolio shows that you have a solid foundation but I think you might benefit a lot from taking a closer look into current-gen pipelines for weapon/prop creation. Both modeling and texturing-wise. I've made a breakdown here on polycount a while ago that might be a good starting point to get…
Interesting, another Polycounter has recently asked me about this (and I'll reply to you tomorrow, JM!) I can't go on a big lecture the way y'all know I'd love to, but I gotta say a few things in reply to Fusey here: [ QUOTE ] Dont eat past 900pm ... You gain body fat when eating late... [/ QUOTE ] This is a myth. In fact,…
It's also illegal to take pics on the London Underground. We had a bit about it on the GTP website from back in 2000: [ QUOTE ] R.Gething finds out more... with the LUT. Rhmm. Although I am the talker of the group I knew this was going to be a toughy. I wasn't sure how to play this but I decided that If I lied to her we…
Gesture is off. That's being a little too general, so I want to say specifically is, as a next step, drop the subdivision levels or get the sculpt back to looking really faceted and low res. right now there are several gestural and proportion issues that can be fixed much more easily at a lower resolution. Off the top of…
You're moving up in subdivision levels too quickly, which in turn is getting the lumpiness in your sculpt. Keep your model as low a polycount as possible, sculpt on it and tweak the proportions gradually, and you should find you have a lot more control with your tools and the look of the sculpt. Unfortunately, such is art…
A tiny update on the Arcade Machine. - managed to begin more on the design (high poly) - testing and experimenting with lighting in proportion to the form - gonna make a nuka cola holder on the side for giggles with shits TO DO: - detail work on the back - Footrest on the bottom step - Rear door with small handle - (if…
Hi Ryan! Kicks ass as usual. I have one request still! When opening a normalmap would it be possible to allow the user to pick what kind of green channel is needed? Just a single tickbox with 'invert y channel' in the Open window would do the trick, near the Common Info tab. Also in that window it would be neat to have an…
So no one testing things people say (and just believes them?) that is kind of dumb. wasn't dumb about it i paid attention to the situation (i noticed the swelling) and now i know a lot about standing(on topic, addressing comments) and the people that talk about "health & wellness", if you aren't doing it (learning about…
I've run into that error a few times. I haven't changed how I rig and sometimes it pops up and sometimes it doesn't. Drives me bonkers because I haven't figured out what causes it or a solid fix for it. There are times that I'll redo that part of the rig, test it and get no errors then days later they are back. Here are…
In my personal experience as a gamer, it's actually in my nature to shoot/destroy/throw crates or barrels no matter what color they are.. it's all about discovery.. what does this item do, or what can it do for me.. but yes.. universally I would agree that red typically = bad/damaging/fire/warning/stop/etc, and if it were…
