Thank you, I too think he needs a top hat. Also might get some lace cuffs and a cane. Cleaned up the concept sculpt and separated out the elements. Started detailing the head, though still not in love with the design so it may change.
Hey thanks SpeCter, I plan on using various geometry elements to break up the tiling. Not to hijack this thread but I should start a WIP thread for this. It is a scene I'm working heavily influenced by torchlight. Between this thread and torchlight, I have been inspired again.
Yeah, for point 3) I usually bind Alt-S to "Select UV Shell", since that essentially selects the element... just select a vert, edge or face and hit your chosen shortcut key, instant shell select without going into the UV Texture editor.
so you are weighing looking great versus being a long play experience i go the opposite way non spetacular art + short as hell play time = Portal contains both the "bad" elements in your original statement but one of the best games in years
just saw hardy in Bronson, if he bulks up like that or bigger and they play the whole cunning element of bane in the comics it could be awesome. I'm pretty sure nolan knows what he is doing with his batman universe at this point, I expect it to be fuckin' cool.
Yeah, big thanks. Also people who found this helpful will love the script that Bryan Carvett made. It works just like modo's alight to element. It allows you to quickly align the pivot to any edge. Fantastic for hard modelling. http://bryancavett.com/maxscripts/actionCenters.ms
I made this 2D platformer a couple of years ago. It has 30 levels, five "themes", new monsters and/or gameplay elements every few levels, etc. Works in Windows and Linux (source provided, if anyone knows how to port it to MacOS X feel free).
Thanks for the replies people, working on your suggestions now. Woogity - about the eye holes, how should i fill them in? Just fill in the polys on the mesh and shape them to look like the surface of the eye, or put a sphere behind the eye as a seperate element of the mesh?
This is really turning out nice man, im digging it alot, the fire and the sky is really striking, i think if you can bring the other elements more in line with that style youll have yourself a really unique / stylish world here!! MORE MORE MORE!
Well I for one thought that the quality of the trailer went downhill drastically once they started to introduce the super-hero elements. I just want to see Robert Downy Jr. be an smarmy quick-witted megalomaniac for the whole movie. No really. The beginning of the trailer is just awesome!
