Usually I would just use the pen tool to trace the shape, but the quick way on that image would be to magic wand select the background with a bit of tolerance, and delete the background. Then ctrl click the layer to get the selection you want, and fill the selection with a plain color in another layer.
Hello, Badge. This model has 2800polys without armor, 4300 with both swords and armor. His textures are spread out through 5 panels right now but that can be changed later. I'm still working on his textures so an update will be posted later. Thx for posting!
Awrighty then. I am at my brothers right now. I'll be home around 4ish. I'll check in then. Smell ya later. Sorry, same problem here. I'm sure it's me but I don't know what. 4:36 Eastern. I'll check back later.
I've started working on the textures today, here are some screen grabs form Substance.Anyways I've only focused on the hull so far,on the turret I've only copied the layers so please ignore it for now.If anyone has any critique I'm glad to hear it.
Thanks guys, I've been doing a mix of both of your suggestions with Grunge maps. I set the roughness mask with some grunge but then I wanted to add another layer of realism by adding hand-place water droplet streaks. But yea that makes sense Alex_J, click once and wait, no dragging the brush across...

Baj Singh- thanks ..yeah we´ll see ... :) Neox- yeah it´s no child ...he´s definetly…
I disagree. There is nothing like those games. Mario 3 for me was the peak of the series, and they don't make them like that anymore. SMB3 was addictive, and had great design. It's been downhill (for me) ever since. There hasn't been any brawlers with the playability and personalty of RCR. There are so many little sandbox…
@iam717 its a valid point because its really hard to get the hair looking natural where the hair meets the scalp. it often comes out looking like lots of little lines, but in reality there are little clumps which break that up i use clump maps to try and recreate that, but still have not totally cracked it some people addd…
yea totally, that's a prime example of content marketing, give a ton of value and have something people can sign up for your list to get, and then occasionally deliver a paid product to your fanbase. organic traffic is great and converts well. with the paid ads stuff you need to be able to track conversions so you can…
I vote with others who say keep working at it. You already have tons of experience creating a space in Architectural Viz. You've got the skills you need. I think you need more practice at surfacing. The laser rifle has some parts of the material that are great, and others that feel a bit off to me (I'm not a weapons…
