Also another offline way to do it is to use mental ray's mia_material. It's extremely powerful shader and I think I remember seeing an example for download from either mymentalray.com or mrmaterials.com -

Welcome to polycount Bass. A two things pop out right away. 1) You have a ludicrous amount of wasteful edge loops in there. If you're going to subdivide then this is simply overkill.
