There's an unwritten rule somewhere that states the obligatory model required for one's portfolio is the Colt 1911. I think it's almost safe to say it is the standard 3D model many a game artist has cut his or her teeth on prior to landing a job. Something to aspire to.

3 things! - Awesome job, I love it. - How is the "NCC 1701 F" done? A decal from another texture? - Could you do a cross reference of areas of the ship to where they are on the texture? For instance - the lit windows, where are they on the sheet? Etc. Thanks!
I heard that placing your AUDIO setting on high causes some lagging / stuttering too.. lower you audio settings to start. Oh.. and the first patch (1.01) had a severed memory leak.. make sure to get the 1.02 patch for starters..

If these are for third person, 2048 is way too big and even 1024 is a stretch. Your polygon counts are also very high for third person. The diffuse textures seem a bit too... textured. The Thompson receiver looks like stone, and the 1911 looks like marble.
