While I'm waiting for things back from the printer I started working on a life-size forearm and hand anatomy study. Its still rough now but I'd figure I would give you guys a peek at what I am up to.
@KingKellogg: I have to rebut saying that I think a normal ribcage, with that lack of body fat in the torso, would create that silhouette with some women. I can see how it looks manly, but I'm erring towards "It's just a really grounded woman anatomy."
Umm... sculpting the high poly anatomy in ZBrush is the solution. And then doing the retopo on top of it in Maya (judging from the UI, you're Maya?) should do the trick. Sub-d modeling organic stuff is kind of an old-fashioned and pretty much obsolete workflow nowadays.
