To remove the black line you do this * Render your canvas on "Best" (without shadows) * Choose the tool called "MRGBZGrabber", un-select auto crop and drag a selection accros your canvas. * Voila! Heya Polycount, been a while since I posted last time but now I'm back for another go. Last year was rough, but with this I'm starting anew and will be working getting my artistic momentum going again. I'm not sure if this is the kind of threads that are seen in the pimping and previews category, sure don't mean to post in…
HUGE props to the polycount staff for making this happen, and EVEN YET MORE HUGER props to the artists who participated. So much great work came out of this, it warms my weird little heart. Super proud of this site and community :D
I had a workshop 'handpainted texturing' at school from Mightypea? and as some of you wil notice it's the goblin from mop from his goblin sdk thread the scaffold, the pumkin and the shrooms are my props, the other props are from classmate's texturing is all mine
also, if you want to be an environment artist, focus on making entire environments. a portfolio with a crate, barrel and dumpster does not make you an environment artist, thats a prop artist folio, and chances are props like that will be made in 20 mins by artists on the team or outsourced to china.
Allright Kimon, thanks for the post! And now that you mention it, it really is at the moment, was planning on adding more props so maybe work on those for a bit first, Will post some more when I finished some of these props, and thanks again for the reply and the good luck.
demoreel wip v1.6 http://vimeo.com/5964037 Changelog 1.6* Deleted the 15 seconds overview, wasnt such a good idea i think * Added more props to the prop-screen * reworked the start of the reel * tweaked a bit around with the time i show textures

Anybody have any tips to speed up workflow? Some day's I find myself spending too much time on the prop at work. I usually use 3d max a lot for hard surface stuff but use Zbrush as well for certain props. I dunno it seems that I make things to difficult for myself with my workflow.
