As Grimmcore said, I was lacking in composition and I wasn't satisfied with the armor progress as well. So I was a little busy for a while and just now I could actually sit down and retake this work. Here are a few compositions that I did yesterday to start afresh. If you could express your opinion I will be really happy.
Nice job on this! The model and presentation are very well done. I'm wondering if the armor metal could use a few more fine specular highlights. I also find some of the metal, mainly the weapons seem a little blunt and soft. Although I'm sure your done with this I thought it might be good to keep in mind in the future.
thnx i will try to fit to this but i used a 3dsk model in my image planes that i matched her proportions to. it looked fine but when i added the armor everything began to look off to me. Also not sure why but in maya the model looks skinnier than in Zbrush or am i just being silly.
Sheesh man, took you long enough. Looks like some good stuff, although I'd like to see a bit more light detailing on some of the armor. Also the tights that are showing on the knees and lower legs, the folds seem kind of directionless. Not sure if the material would fold like that or not. Might be small enough to ignore…
Actually we are here :) need tips for materials and creation of plates on the armor, I saw in the star wars rebels the creation of straight lines to create the plates shape: But how can draw this lines on the uvw, which are usaully a little bit deformed, and keep the design sharp and straight? Thank you all for your…
@jacob thomas Thanks! Yeah, I tried to fix it but the damage is already done xD. Day 21 I thought about working more on this character. I want to render it like a real sculpture instead of polypainting it. I don't know how to do it but I'll find the way. I'll add him more armor. WIP
B_Korth - Im thinking more towards high heels PyrZern - Her arms did felt something is missing for her armor so I decided to have her wear something like gloves and gauntlets I wasn't really happy with her corset. I tried to paint over it but I'm really bad at it. UPDATE CONCEPT
Moose - Yes, i think you're right about shadow. I will consider this in my future works. Also i didn't know you can bake the light to you textures as a base for texture. Will try this after brawl). DDuckworth - I suppose that it not a field armor - more like a clothes to show off) Thanks guys.
mishra_thanks alot for the support. Pliang_I am agree with you, right I really want get the texture down too, and warry the rest later. New stuff, the pilot seat is done. At this stage the main body of the vehicle is finished, I think the next one up will be the skir armors around the cockpit and the rocket booster. enjoy.
You cannot assign an artist a rating. Besides, someone with an "A" rating, let's say, just might not be a full "A" when it comes to the style a given company is looking for in a game. An amazing character artist for high-tech sci-fi games with lots of armor bits might not be as capable when it comes to pure fantasy or…
