Nice stuff! Can't wait to see it all come together. I've seen the Teaser wall prop and the prop above it modeled by someone around here. I can't remember who.
I'm also a noob to weighting so this info is going to be of great help to me as well. Props to Daz for asking. Props to Whargoul, Snowfly and Asthane for some truly golden time-savers.
Update: Slowly adding more props to the interior. Going to add some more lockers out in the hallway before I start digging into micro props and decals like writing on the chalkboard, paper, etc.
Jessica, if big companies are your goal to work for, it seems that companies are outsourcing their props more and more. Might want to cut out Prop Artist, and just market yourself as Environment. Up to you though.
I like the simple one (easy to get done in a month) but I like the idea of all the props in the second one. Even if I don't finish I will have some props to show off.
I_think_With_underscores always a mistake to start building props befor at least blocking out the env...wheres the block/layout propping a scene out should come between second and third pass IMO owen_shepherd.bmp

hey guys, just wondering if anybody had recently worked on an RTS and what the ballpark poly and texture limits were for individual buildings and prop objects. only curious to go about making some faux rts bldgs and props in spare time. thanks
created the floorboard texture and here is an update with the current status of the room, got a decent atmosphere going. got the curtains and the rest of the wall props in (curtains, fireplace, door) then the rest of the props to fill in the room
Cool props :) love the canister :) ... its possible that the images are being downgraded for browser performance? something we cant help maybe. Would you mind uploading the spec and diffuse maps for these props for me to look at?
