its very pastel colored at the moment, soft low saturation colors. mix it up a bit , for a character like this i would avoid having more than one of such colors in the model, they dont feel right. that ring on his chest really baked out nicely good bakes, work on the textures. -Woog
Pretty amazing, and good learning in here! I've learned so much from seeing the few completed entries and working on my own. More enviro comps plz!!1 I'm curious to know what your Unreal setup was to get that nice soft shadow across the building without using a lightmap?
Overall, your previous texturing looked better. You texture now is too noisy and bright. A couple more things that will help is an Ambient Occlusion bake to add some nice soft shadows and metallic highlights to all edges. Also, your background color needs to be neutral. Being as bright as it is hurts the presentation.
Idea 1: Select crapped version of model -> Edit Polygons -> Normals -> Set Vertex Normal Options -> check "Unlock Normals" -> Apply Idea 2: Instead of using Average Normals, select edges around offending poly -> Edit Polygons -> Normals -> Soften/Harden Options -> click "All Soft" -> Apply
had a 4 of mine out when i was 18 and was lucky i had no issues. Was able to eat regularly the next day too. So weird cause my gf at the time looked like a chipmunk and couldn't eat anything for a week except soft stuff. NOW Kidney Stones....THATS PAIN!!!!!
Looks cool. I'm not sure i like the normal mapping on the 'body' of it, though. It looks blobby, and more importantly too bumpy. I'd expect sharp edges where paint has chipped away or it's been damaged, and instead i'm seeing this soft lumpy buildup that i don't quite know what is.
Polyshift is really great, it's like soft selection on steroids. It's great for breaking up symmetry on a finished model, or quickly adjusting a model's proportions. Just tried the new update - being able to use the Polydraw tool in screenspace now is awesome! The border tool is one I use a lot, using it in screenspace is…
Hi Polycount Community! I just made an Ax in Maya and i importet it into zBrush to make a HighPoly Sculpt. So i divided the Tool 6-7 times to become a soft model. After doin the sculpting i saw that maya cant handle such large tris counts. It lagged. What must i do before i import the mesh back in maya? Thanks!
I want to use his great model "PKnight" as an example of a soft shadow algorithm in my article. I want to get his permission before I use it. I have tried to send an email to "james@perilith.com". But I got error message immediately. It seems this address is not valid. Can anyone tell me his email? Thanks!
I am new to this but offering quite a bit of money for a high quality but small scale 3d click interaction game (Models, animation, and coding) that includes rather odd fetish content (Not extreme in any way but probably odd seeming to most). The most important thing I'm looking for is skill with human anatomy and soft…
