You could always try sites like turbosquid/other asset stores. It might not be insane money but it is something.+ There is no time pressure. Maybe do a few Dota 2 items. With a good 2d concept and good execution it might even bring in good money. And if not at least it helps your daily art fix. But again I'm just a noob…
i do like the Max stack was a Max user for years... Thats why i created a History Editory for Maya. works similar to Max being able to turn on and off history items.. i still need a good way to move history up and down the stack. I agree with having one reel, I would make your first clickable image a reel with all your stuff together. Then from there have the individual shots as separate items. The job hunt is a hard one, dont get discouraged. You'll find that you may get 1000 rejections but all you need is one offer. Best of luck!
