Oh wow man, sometimes I get impressed by silhouettes like the ones you have done. I feel like I want fill them in. Great job on the shield, I think it sticks out in a good way.. Hope the poppy model turns out just as well as the shield does.
Stuffs looking good, I'm pretty useless with Zbrush but I did notice on your latest shield that the wood looks amazing but the metal parts are lacking in detail. Also a shield that has been hit enough to cause massive chips in the side should have some pretty crazy scratches and cuts on the wood.
Thanks all, I wasn't aware of the Monster Hunter part of it, so I'll definitely keep that in mind. I googled some of their armor sets. I'm still working on a design I like for the shield, I want to put some horns on it likely, but differentiate it from Braum's shield, which also has horns.
It also turns off any deployables your team is using and prevents you from buying vehicles, but not from buying strikes. If you're using light turrets (which are good at helping stop flag cappers - whittling valuable health before their getaway), shields or mines, (or motion sensors, or any other deployable) they will stop…

The shield however does not seem to fit, it is a cool painting, but looks like a painting not a shield. Keep it simple and cool like his armor. Also, the shield has no handle, how is he holding…
@Sora123, yes in the future I'll add a shield. I think it will be a simple kite shield. Also i want to make a helmet with chain mail mask and a big collar, but I'm not sure if I can lay the chainmail pattern correctly. And I don’t know if that makes sens, because it can bring a lot of problems when animating.
I like the idea of a heat shield above the barrel and the design you chose looks nice, but usually heat shields are a much thinner sheet of metal so try to scale back the thickness a bit. Also for me one of the biggest issues is the gun is just a bit too wide, imagine trying to hold that pistol grip.
not a fan of the scratches on the back of the shield... nor the front to be honest - perhaps revisiting your spec map (if you made one) would help sell it a bit more also the leather? arm brace on the back has way too much noise going on, tone it down a bit and make it feel like it belongs with the rest of the pieces on…
@Xeik: imo Taric is called "The shield of Valoran" when the new rework come out, even though he lost his shield. So I made Taric a star himself in this theme (maybe this is a bad excuse :D ) current wip for now, the file is getting huge with all these effects hair is inspired by Houseki no Kuni :D
too many gimmicks would derail too much from the original gameplay and confuse the players, I think his shield idea is perfect on that sense, people will remember that map as "the ctf where you have the shields to disable to get the flag", which is good, more isn't always better. just my 2 cents tho
