Hi everyone, I am currently working on my Final Major Project and it has come time for me to create a complimentary pistol weapon case for my firearm. The case I have decided to create is the Sig Sauer P320 pistol case. I will have a modified version to accommodate a set of attachments, but the idea from this reference is…
There're something near 3 materials. First base-mat wich is mainly used for all assets. Second material for blending parts like bricks, tiles etc. (it's just like a base-mat but little optimized and with vertex blending). An the last one material with alpha for glass, lightbulbs and anything like that. I used…
I did a small amount of post, really just a curves layer to bump up the contrast a bit, and some unsharp mask, and a little crop of course. Here is the full res unedited version: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/499159/bug3.jpg I'm loving the Sony A560, the extra resolution, noise performance and great dynamic range are the…
HI , I would like to use "match by mesh name" in SP with my blender's 3D assets , to avoid baking issues, and change the workflow a little (exploding is a good option but not for my current model). 1- If I am goiing to use "match by mesh name" I should name "name_sufix" from the HP and the LP to match them each other…
I finished my power breakout box today, it isn't anything fancy but will make running wires to the leds a bit easier, and reduces the amount of connections in the main control box. Printed in PETG, the top cover has all the holes for the inputs and outputs. I Crimped 60 total pins, 1 8pin, 1 4 pin and 16 3 pin panel mount…
If you've already got the high poly version of the props, simplest way will be to manually retopo them. You can certainly speed up the process by inserting a primitive shape, moving it into place, and then turning on live surface and quad draw and editing from there. Good thing to do is use minimum amount of geometry and…
Never tried actually...But: If your meshes are exactly the same, you can try to overlap the uvs, sculpt and bake one, and the use sculpt using map (make sure you're subdividing each mesh to a reasonable amount to catch the details of the map, so my guess would be smaller ones don't need to be as the same amount of detail…
Hi Gredgie, I have been teaching 3D for 5 years in college and believe me to become really efficient in doing almost anything you wish will take at least 3 to 5 years. You can easily notice the difference between professional work and beginner work. Even if i love what i do i wouldn't recommend anyone to get in that field…
They raised the price of the Photoshop subscription from $10/month to $15/month. Apparently they sent out emails on this a few months ago, but I only realized it had happened when I examined my last couple bills from them. An amount I can still afford, but I'm no longer willing if I have a choice. I've left and come back…
Not to be too dismissive but ... to be fair, diagrams like the above end up doing the opposite of what was intended IMHO. Such wireframe redline paintovers are fantastic in order to explain changes to be performed on a design or model ("please make the nose follow a plane more like this") ; but they achieve close to…
