The values are likely stored with the tool itself, so dynameshing shouldn't lose that data (Tool: Export: Scale?). It should automatically scale back to the correct size on export, which is why you don't have to compensate.
the wow files were extracted using wowmodelviewer, exporting to blender, exporting to max, then re skining the mesh to a new rig. I agree about the knee bending stuff DKK, ive changed that now ty
I model in meters for sculpting reasons and set the Blender FBX exporter to scale up by 100 if I'm exporting to UE4 or Unity. But if I were using Maya instead of Blender I'd probably use centimeters.
dHow have you exported these meshes that DDO knows that it has to seperate tthem? I have a model which is tiled in multiple objects and exported it as an obj. as an group but ddo won´t load it as a multiple object! :(
what u can try just export the low into max and unwrap it and import uvs. if it still doesnt work then i would probably export a mid res of the mesh unwrap it in max. then bring it in for transfer details.
Great it works. Yes, export is not implemented yet. There will be an obj export for the mesh (smooth or cube). My main focus is first to make the handling easy and intuitive - yet it should be possible to construct accurate 3d models.
The latest build of Painter allows you to select a Unity 4 export preset. You can author the textures using the standard metal/roughness and the export will convert the maps accordingly to Unity 4's shaders.
When you're importing and exporting an obj file in Max, there's a "Vertex Scale" parameter that will automatically scale it up or down on import/export. Use that so you don't have to scale it up and down manually in the scene.
just animate like you're used to (merge all the animations to one file) and export as md2 i used this script to export, dunno if it works in max 2008 http://www.blitzforum.de/upload/file.php?id=1627
Hey guys; I am having trouble with an item and was wondering if anyone could send me a Maya Scene including the standard Axe Bone Hierachy or even be willing to export (try to) my mesh as a SMD/FBX. Pulling out my hair over this import/export business
