PureRef is amazing for piecing together references. Not only can you drag and drop images directly into it from the browser, but you can then save out the collage as an image file. I set up my tablet monitor and my iPad so they're both right next to each other, and save the image to a folder on my NAS so I can load it on…

The image EarthQuake is talking about is (Edit: Damnit, beat me to it Zac). The image is courtesy of AlecMoody, posted in another thread. Thank you for that insight, EarthQuake. Do you happen to know anything about potential issues with over saturation with web images when using a wide gamut display? I remember reading…
Word sizes its images relative to the page size, using the DPI setting stored in the picture. But most CG images are automatically set to 72 or 96 DPI, which makes them print pretty large (and blurry). Best bet is to reset the images' DPI to 300 before loading them in Word. XnView can do this in a batch, so can Photoshop.…

Blogger isn't the easiest yet but its getting there. Lytebox viewer http://ilook12.blogspot.com/2010/01/lytebox-image-viewer-for-blogger.html images side by…
I don't think your thinking about PTex quite right. automatic UV's dont come into the equation. the data is stored as thousands of images, each image represents a quad or 2 triangles. there isn't any empty image space. and texel density is defined locally on a face by face basis. I guess it remains to be seen when AD…
Ok, after doing a little experimentation, I found that a PNG image sequence with alpha on makes the image really dark. When I turned off alpha, the PNG looked perfect. I tried the other image formats and found that only the PNGs had this issue when using alpha during an animation sequence. I'm wondering if it's just me or…
to stick all the images in a single movie clip you will have to stick every image on a seperate keyframe. So push i think its f6 when you select the number of frames you need, to turn them into blank keyframes, then copy and paste the images into each frame. Yeah i just tried it and it exports. I have no idea what you are…
the first image is a little weird. the lower half of the body looks like he's leaning against a wall with his back but the upper part makes it look like he's standing straight. in the last image.... I'm not sure if it is the pose but his torso seems really small.. could be that he's bent.. hmm.. cause if you compare with…
ah ok, maybe just semantics, but that what i meant anyway - but surely they can display a higher res sphere than the one they have ? I mean with modern video cards etc I don't really know how VR players work under the hood, so its hard to speak authoritatively on the subject. Maybe there are 2 spheres, 1 for each eye? My…
