Im using Unreal 4. #1 is a tiling rock texture, #2 is a glacier wall texture and number 3 is a snow buildup texture. I was wondering what you guys thought of the breakdown and If I should build a blend shader with 3 channels or should I just have a bunch of separate planes with the textures assigned to them? Thanks!
At work we are using characters with 3 Udims, that means we have one highpoly mesh and the lowpoly is using 3 seperated materials within painter. The bake is seamless between the Udims. If you want you could send me the high and lowpoly body so I can make a test with it :)

Hey joker, One thing I would suggest for any porfolio... Quality over Quantity... 3 solid, finished pieces is way better than 50 half finished. I would scrap 90% of the models and focus on your best 3, take those to full completion and go from there

Crysis 2 I think, and more than likely Crysis 3. Uncharted Golden Abyss as well as Uncharted 3...anything that has a terrain system... I think Skyrim used more decals than vertex painting but I could be wrong. It's been a while since I've been in the game.

ID does'nt hype...they talk the talk and walk the walk ... There terrain in Doom 3 is awesome im sure this will look as good or better . Probebly just a new and faster way to crunch details for large scale terrain ...as opposed to using smaller maps and a landscape mesh for the very limited terrains in doom 3 .
