The ship structure is pretty much complete but i am looking to decorate the ship with micro details at some stage. I started to Unwrap today, continuing this over the weekend. I am also looking at the mood i want to capture inside UE4.
They'll continue to add heroes into Dota2 after it's "release". Icefrog just added 2 new heroes into Dota a few days ago and those are going to be added into Dota2 so as he keeps doing that they'll keep being put into Dota2 as well.

I know I already wrote a comment but I'd just like to add I think his work will continue to be a major source of inspiration for a lot of the artists here and should hopefully give people the drive to really up their game. Badass artist!
The most valuable advice I think is: prototype early! You need to nail down your best fundamental game mechanic in your game design and then you make a prototype for it. If it's fun, continue developing - else just come up with a new idea.
Here are some shots of the furnace that I textured. Also this week my Houdini license is expired so I not able to continue working with the Houdini plugin for UE4. :neutral: I maybe want to add foliage but I'm not sure. Any feedback is welcome.
I've continued adding more geometry and detail, mainly to the top of the hull, legs,arms,weapon as well as a socket joint which showcases more freedom in the mechs arm movement. Next I will be finishing off the leg, and moving onto the hull and turrets :)
Here's an update. The next step here for me is to continue to experiment and research the Xoliul shader's lighting ... not having much luck just yet getting it to do what I want. Thanks so much for the advice everyone. There are no spec or normals seen here.
