As promised here a example of an old shield I did. I kept the inner part of the shield (wood + central handguard) as a seperate mesh with a lower density and just added a rounder mesh for the metal to keep a smoother silhouette. Not the cleanest solution but for the project's purposes it was sufficient.
Very cool! I especially like the chain mail loin cloth, and the bone tentacle arm youve got goin on! Whats with the ropes taping its shield to its back? Is that just for back armor since it cant hold a shield with its tentacle arm?
I had found an unused shield concept for the dark souls 2 shield design contest and really really liked it, so I'm working on building it for a sculpting class. Looking forward to posting some more. :)
Really cool, but the shield bugs me. It feels backwards (why would the wheel spokes be on the outside and the planks of wood be on the inside/back of the shield? (it would make more sense to reinforce the spokes if it were to stay that way).
Little more work on this shield after getting some advice. Turned into this. Still doesn't remind me of a shield per se, but perhaps I should create the back side...? If nothing else, it would show a greater understanding of the subject matter...guess we will see
This is how the shield is looking. These are overall the colors for the shield. The poro's hairs are supposed to be made from wood. I'll detail them on the diffuse map. They are going to have some brown colors on them. CC welcome. I'll start working on the poro luchador and then jump to the low polygon.
The second one looks like he is humping the shield and giving a thumbs up while doing that xDDD Can you please tell me what you were trying to do ? xD But god thats so funny. The shield looks rly cool btw
