Maya LT 2016 has had an increased limit on export size, i think it's around 200k tri's now. If that helps you out at all. If that's still to low the only way i've found to get larger items out of Maya LT is to export them in chunks below the export cap. Hope that helps. -

Thanks guys! :D @Zdybal: My texture pack was actually already out 2 years ago (on the Minecraft forum), although I had only finished the terrain and item sprites at that point. The mobs are proving to be a huge task! Ofcourse, they also keep adding new content, making it harder to catch up. :poly105: -

the reference is all pictures from the internet. after finishing with the big stuff i've reached a point that in order to find reference for some small items like sensors etc, i have to go to an online parts catalogue, find the part number for the part, then look it up on ebay or something to get closeup photos :pensive: -

This is looking good so far for what it is :] But I agree with the others that there could just be more stuff! Look up tons of pix of attics, see what makes the clutter - boxes? floorlamps? old cultural/family items? instruments? toolboxes? Then I would maybe do a quick concept for composition ideas. Keep it up! -

did you try changing the texturegroup settings in the baseEngine.ini? Rather than changing the LODbias setting try changing the actual min and max texture sizes? this stuff:[SystemSettings]; NOTE THAT ANY ITEMS IN THIS SECTION WILL AFFECT ALL… -

Add more writing on the chalk board Perhaps some differently positioned chairs and desks. Posters, books, globe, origami cranes, bento, mecha outside, etc Decorations for the ever present cultural festivals in every high school anime? Could even add some items that nod to popular high school anime. -

The Recent search (actually called "discussions") has an RSS feed: http://polycount.com/discussions/feed.rss If you use a RSS reader thingy (there are some free online ones) that allows you to filter items, you can filter them based on category like only reading entries from "Technical Talk" for example. -

I love the presets, I love the preview render, I even love the presentation of the program. I am however finding a lot of bugs with the backdrop items. It's not horrible and I can work around them but meh, bug report. I'm still combing through a lot of what's available and integrating it into my pipline. -

Not a pro, but yes, keep anything you think might be useful later. If you got a complicated scene and want to keep it clean, export that as an fbx with a descriptive name in a smartly named folder just for items like that. If the scene isn't huge with tons of stuff, just toss it into a group that can be hidden away until…
