Cool, arm looks good now. : ) I like the compromise with the leather fringes on the loincloth and the split half-toga. Looks very period and yet very functional for this character.
I tried smoothing groups. I've never seen it before, and it looks like its a very useful function. ARe there times I should,should not , use smoothing groups?
Mesh lab is cool, if you have the patience, i Primarily use Decimation Master, but now you have mentioned it i'll take a look at the max functions too!
I agree with Neox. How is this weapon supposed to be held/used? This is a fundamental flaw in the design. It doesn't matter how skillfully you render this as a piece, the functionality as a weapon is questionable.

They are under category "Polytools" in CUI "PolyDrawConform" "PolyDrawExtend" You could enable the listener (F11) Macrorecorder enabled to check what function is used when you perform an action.

Once I got past the utterly bizarre choice for view controls, i enjoyed the presentation. Alot of functions seem to point at a default set tho, is this still incomplete?
D1ver, yeah the lighting is supposed to be caustics from the bulbs, I just painted a texture in photoshop that looked like some caustics and cast it as a light function on some of the spotlights.
