For some reason I can't see your latest update. Perhaps something is wrong with the image host at the moment. Anyway, from the looks of your earlier images, this is turning out pretty damn awesome! Very well done. Nice rocks and trees. Looking forward to seeing your latest update once those images pop in, hehe.
Finished the lowpoly and textures for the MC Tank, really happy with how it came out. The cutscene variant is 49k with 2 sets of 2k textures and the game version is around 6k with 512 textures. Added more images at the artstation so I don't fill this thread with tonnes of images. Artstation for more images:…
If you start using programs like substance and ddo, you will probably become a lot less dependent on images. A lot of studios also buy accounts with texture sites so it is legal when they use the images straight in their games. Depends on the situation but using images if fine but I would get in the habit of altering them…
Not harsh, quality criticism im getting on it! UPDATED PORTFOLIO: www.benhearndesigns.webs.com i have added straplines to my images, also a couple of texture maps ive added. I was just wondering the image that has the wireframe merge into it, should i leave it like that and have another like it or have the image normal…

I suppose i could scale the images and tables and adjust the number of images for each row so there is never negative…
Starting to add stuff. http://wiki.polycount.net/Texturing_Primer I know I'm getting a bit ahead of things here Adam, but besides the spam problem Polycount should look into allowing image and file uploads. I can link to external images from my own site (or others') but external images disappear or move away (or leech…
You have a lot of stuff on your portfolio, which really is a good thing but I'd consider removing irrelavant stuff and re-arranging stuff that isn't really up to a good quality. For example, it says on your profile you're an environment artist but I see a bunch of other things that aren't environment art on your portfolio.…
Hello ! My suggestion is to start making real-world / realistic characters (humans) first. As i know, all sucsesfull artists who draw cartoons or stylized characters, firstly learned anatomy and learned how to draw humans, the same rules applies here. Also as you and i mentioned it already, you need to learn anatomy, for…
Hello. I'd like to start a general thread on composition for images. The single most important skill you can develop when rendering or taking screenshots of your art is composition. Feel free to discuss and ask questions about composition and post images you find intriguing. Some basic food for thought when composing…
