Crows Cool Cuttin-thingys and stuff *dazzle* I'm a 2D animator who dabbles in 3D from time to time, but remain forever a n00b (even though I'm bloody studying it in college). Really got into Dota 2 a while back, and I finally decided to gut up and course my creative endeavours a bit towards making items (not gonna lie, I'm…
Well, today I had a couple of minutes so I did some progress. I started to export some of the elements of the scene to CryENGINE and after that I took my first look to Substance painter. By the moment I don't known so many aspects and tools of this software but I'm not very disappointed with the first results.
I'm not that familiar with the ruling, but from what I gather, this is really cool for traditional/"normal" software where it's a tool that you're using, but pretty scary for games where it's more about the experience than the software. In many cases you only want to experience it once or twice anyway; wouldn't this…
When I need random sci-fi machinery, I have been known to go into the garage and start stacking power tools on each other. Car engine parts, photos of the insides of old power plants, and similar stuff can get you some very cool shapes and volumes to iterate on, very quickly.
wow that's really cool! works like a charm, like a much improved version of the frame selection hotkey :) . I have it set to the space bar! that's how important this script is going to be ;) . Great work! thanks! edit: hey if you have your move tool set to screen you can edit geometry in a fun way ;) .
the most current version of polyboost kicks ass. the you might want to play with it a little bit. But If your talking about the Ian Joyner Gnomon Dvd's he does some cool stuff with polyboost, and honestly I would never want to re-topologize a hi-res model with out some of the polydraw tools. I recommend it.
just a question for all: what do you do if pictures fit well in two or more catagories.? happens especially on environment stuff... tried some tools for tagging images , but everything took way too much time and had bad workflow. save the pictures in more then one folder seems stupid to me, too...
The skin is reading as flat, you need some cool|warm variations in the skin tone. The shading around the nose/muzzle looks like abuse of the burn tool, around the nostrils needs more defintion, they looks like two dots among flat color. Looks like it could really become a strong piece overall though!
The poses don't always have to match all the way through the pipeline. It might be more beneficial for artists to bend the arms in A pose and curl the fingers so they can be at the mid point of deformation like poopipe mentioned. But depending on the rigging system, that might be a nightmare to rig. I like to think of the…
Heya - you are missing the point being made in the replies above by about a mile. By "the tool doesn't matter", no one is saying that the cut tool from software X is the same as the cut tool from software Y. Because that would be, quite frankly, a dumb and pointless thing to say. What is actually being said is, cut tool X…
