Beginner question. What is the difference between "Rotate" and "Rotate Axis" ? And also what is "local rotation axis?"
I tried looking the documentation of Maya, but still i am soo confused.
I 'm using a stand alone standard Student Version of Maya 2016. The default layer panel below the channel box is not there. See image. I've tried : restarting, resetting preferences. ????
Hi, 3ds Max has energy preservation mode in the v-ray shader. RGB and monochrome can be selected. Where is this in Maya? Google searches always bring me to 3ds Max.
Is it possible to change the rotation pivot of a group.I know how to change the rotational pivot of an object in Maya by using the manipulator that comes on when u click the question mark button in component mode.
Hi all, I've been trying to figure out a way of getting nice realtime renders from Maya using the Leocov shader, (been using Printscreen but as you can imagine the results are pretty cack :D ) Does anyone know any good methods or plugins for this? Thanks :thumbup:
Before exporting my mesh into UDK i normally have it zero'd out in the middle of the grid in maya, but I was wondering if that is the most ideal way to export a asset into UDK? Is there a better spot to place the mesh on the grid before exporting that works better with the engine when moving assets around in the engine?
