Heya there Malin! Long time no see :) Sorry for not answering my e-mail, it's not cause I don't love ya, just being distraught is all ;P I'll do my best to offer you some constuctive feedback grrrl! One of the main issues you have with color is that you seem to simply be adding white to the light, and black to the shadow.…
I agree with everything said above. All i want to add is try to be humble and open minded about always needing to learn something. Don't settle on the fact that "you have experience" people do not really care if you have 10 years of experience if your work is not what they are looking for. Also please, i beg you, don't let…
A face i've been working today just to learn more about the delicacy of female face. An update. I will finish this face here, for next weeks i will do a couple of busts, i need practice eyes and learn more about hair.
How is it possible to delete the uvs? I tried selecting a face and hitting delete, nothing happens. I select all faces in the UVs dialog and then looked in the viewport to see what faces are selected and nothing is unselected which would mean no uvs are deleted.
Sometimes i get flipped faces, so you can check that by going to the object name (if you labeled them) selecting it and clicking the back-face option on the left. (For me) they come in usually normal flipped, If you tried all other options you can try this one. Notes : you have to fix the issue, clicking that option will…
Thanks for the tips. I'm definitely struggling with the face a bit, what do you think would be good reference for making a realistic AANG face, but still keeping the likeness? Every time I add more detail to the face he gets older, haha.
Cool thanks guys! Much appreciated. Is the topology for the face also alright for any animation that may be put in? I've never really retopped a face before and that first picture there was my first go at it. So any feedback or critiques on anything related to the face is welcome :)
You should be able to set up regular directional lights relative to the camera and screengrab that way, using a lambert diffuse with a white surface. i.e. a red light facing left, a green one facing up and a blue one facing forwards (relative to the camera)
Does it have to be the face, or the whole head? If it's the whole head, then I'd have to opt for a hologram machine. Then it can be whatever I want. If it's just my face, then I'd want it to be a cute puppy face, then all the ladies would want to kiss on me all the time
The jaw still needs to be a touch more square, compared side by side, your face is either too tall, or too thin, the ref is way more of a cube and the front of the face needs to be more flat, almost all of the face should be in the front 20% of the head
