This is awesome man, i really dig the style. Do you think you could post a bit higher res image of the wireframe shot? I'm interested in seeing how you put the roots together but i'm having a bit of trouble seeing it well.
Finished the model a while ago, forgot to upload the wireframe of that. Here's a texture update though. Still some work to go, especially on boots, and hair isn't even started yet. EDIT: Also, apologies for the low quality jpeg. The next update will be better quality.
He could have very well used one of those countless Models on DVD assets and arranged them in a box. A wireframe render will serve people much better, since many companies tend to model in a deformity that can be used to tag back to that company.
Already given my feedback so curious to see your progress, maybe a wireframe / viewport printscreen is better than a skylight render ;) if you want to show something more presentable during progress throw it in UDK asap :) Good luck either way!
Absolutely beautiful! The style is very nice. I had to chuckle a bit when I saw the wireframe of his armor, the design is so beautifully optimized that you never notice how low poly some areas actually are. Keep up the awesome work.
I'll go back and try to hide my seems better and add more variations to the material. Here's the wireframe. It's 27,114 tris, but I do have to go back and do some clean up. Also I use Substance painter 2 for texturing.
nanook, thanks!) Still have time). I've finished lowpoly and made base for the texture. I am going to get rid of the highlight on the horn later. 1.wireframe 2. normals(made for baking check and for fun )) 3.base colors 4. map
Here are the sample videos I mentioned. They've been reduced to 256 colors to keep the file sizes down, but the actual dvd videos are full 16 bit color. Carbon Fiber - 75 megs Spirit/Ghost - 28 megs Wireframe - 7 megs
Kharn, my man, that is some of the most vivid and beautiful foliage I have ever seen. I want to know how you did it. May I see your texture set up and some wireframe? Maybe even a workflow if you're up to it.
Ok, had a few things that came up, had to deal with em, but now I'm back! (I hope...) Ok, here are the wireframe that I promised about a month ago it seems. This is still the same one, I have had time to tinker with it yet.
