That's awesome, this was the magic line I was looking for to get my script working. Thank you very much for that. I just need to explicitly set the value of this one float field before my script runs to avoid it causing an error if someone accidentally has 0 set in that field. You da maaaaan. floatField -e -v 5.12…
You can force it on the node itself. Just set the depth to absolute in it's properties. It'll want to be a float value though I think. Their tile random is 3 times faster than yours.. different gpu? Same version of designer? 12 seconds is a really long time - is it actually taking that long to process? It could just be…
Wait, so there were two people in tandem making one high poly mesh, and separated the tasks based on whether it was major clothing items, body, smaller gadgets and gizmos? These look awesome! I'm trying to figure out what is welded and floating with all these layered clothes. The decision about when to weld or not has…
Whenever I need to lay out bevels like that, I like to use floating geo. Just model a strip of polygons over the top of the model and get your bevel in there. It gives pretty good results, and bakes pretty well. Also, your not adding a bunch of extra loops that can mess up the overall shape when you smooth.
make sure the texture does not have seams along the corners. With simplistic style such seams are especially hurting. Also regarding stone texture, i would recommend to make "stones" more tight with each other. Now they look like floating bubbles. Also i'd make less saturated color, otherwise they might start looking like…
Thanks for the feedback pangarang. Most of the scene is still in its concept/blockout stage, which is why there are quite a few low poly/rough edges floating about! I'm trying to figure out how to add more interest to the lower sections at the mo, might try adding an ornate gated entry system and some shops/market areas.
Detailing in progress,I know about floating details, but I just decided to weld the screw and everything into the meshes, just for personal satisfaction and personal challenge, just to see if I can lol The little bump around the screw holes was an happy accident,I could have removed it but I think that it adds a nice touch so…
A floating dog. With fish in tow. Why a fish? (Because I had difficulty drawing a hamburger.) Gasp, after taking an extensive look (read; not looking at all) at my previous works, i have noted a distinct lack of two things; Animals, and environments. This picture contains one of those two.. Can you guess which one?
Hi SF2Engine. You have a very nice environment, really dig the color scheme and overall clean nature of it. I havent had a chance to view it through the web player yet but will later. Whats the deal with the edges of the windows? Is the elevator sign suppose to be holographic, cant quite make out what its suppose to be, it…
because you touch yourself at night I was wondering, there is a lot of information floating about polycount in dribs and drabs. but is there any 1 cohesive guide to normal map baking covering the subject end to end. I find the wiki a little disjointed, it would be nice to be able to link folks somewhere, and not have to…
