Got a copy of speedtree and began making new trees for the environment. Still have a tree or two to make, plus I need to come up with a system to place snow on the leaves and small branches.
Do you need to weld these together? Wouldn't it be better and cheaper to just have intersecting geometry? SpeedTree doesn't weld branches together like this for games and, obviously, the wind works fine with it like that.
"Something Magical". Having fun with Japanese side-scroller level design. Modeled in Maya, 3dCoat and Speedtree. Textured in dDO and nDo, rendered in Unreal Engine 4. What do you guys think?
Definitely challenging to do good trees and vegetation in general. I don't yet have any experience with trees so I probably will learn SpeedTree when it comes to that for the scene I am doing.
New Post for finale work. A week and a half study of mushrooms and UE4 lol Tools used: Zbrush, Maya, Xnormal, nDo, dDo and speedtree [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjQrPgVe3vQ"]Small Video of scene[/ame]
Wow those trees look really nice Daz, but then again Speedtree had these great looking trees for a few years already, and they never appeared in any game so far. Well... maybe that is about to change.
Hi guys! This time we want to show you our vegetation set. All of this set was made with SpeedTree, using own meshes and textures. We hope you like it! See you next weeks
