reminds me of Digital-Tutors Jet Bike, one of the earlier tutorials i remember seeing when i first got into 3D (didn't follow it but definitely inspired me to want to become a modeller) in other words, good job ! :P
Yeah, I'm pretty sure nobody is going to carry nibs. Even though digital art is the world to us, it's a niche product to the general public. My only suggestion would be to get a bunch of friends to go in on one order to save on shipping.
no problem, dynamesh is really fun...i really feel that it changed the game(so to speak) in terms of digital sculpting. i also really love the insert ear and hands brushes...since its usually a pain to sculpt those from scratch
Hi, I'm a Digital Arts and Entertainment student and I just finished my workshop week on creating hand painted textures. For this assignement we had to make a 256x256 texture. I made the other props earlier this week. [IMG][/img]
I guess I would say you could try doing some traditional art exercises like speed sketching, learning fundamentals like color theory, lighting, etc. It's not '3d' but it'll help your digital work a ton!
sadly it's the same story as any other digital download software/game some stuff is twice the price for me in japan compared to the american prices. tried to find ways around it but yeah just causes problems that I have to spend time on.
been gone for a spell, haven't kept up with this sketchbook much. got a little nudge from a new friend and figured I should start posting here again. here are some sketches and digital works, as always, tips and crits are welcome... - - -
From left to right: about 8 months old I guess (lol, note the pack of cigarettes clearly visible) , 14 in my Duran Duran days (man I loved that digital watch), 21, 27, and er 'more recently'
I only just stumbled upon this over at cgtalk really cool digital anatomy painting (Photoshop) tutorial By Nebezial. There's quite a few pages....the majority of the stuff can be downloaded here as a PDF. http://www.elbandersnatcho.com/modules.p...nload&cid=1
I'm a natural light sort of person as well, even when doing digital, if I find I need to raise the contrast, I will adjust the level of natural lighting, but generally I like it decently lit. I hate working in the dark.
