Sweeeeeet. So I read that Keith Thompson designed a drop ship, and a lot of the weapons/environments/creatures of the alien civilization. Fantastic designs all around, from both the in-house team, Keith Thompson and Syd Mead :) I'd definitely pick up the art book and maybe some toys...there's not near enough Borderlands to…
Update: we are well into production now and have been making great progress. We are currently in need of skilled animators, so if you want to be a part of a great team and a unique project drop me a line with some examples! Dave Cruikshank davec@burningdog.com I will leave off with another concept of one our creatures :)
youve got lke 5 diferent colour schemes ona creature which shouldnt have that many... i know its infected but like maybe you could add some infected areas or more than just "LOL LUTS OF BLOOD AT FRONT MENZ affected"... maybe you could add something like this going on
[ QUOTE ] So, it would be very plausable for me to pursue a film-related career. I'll have to look into such studios. Thanks. [/ QUOTE ] I had a wander around the Industrial Light & Magic creature shop a while ago. They have a completely seperate surfacing/texturing department from modeling. Strangely it was mostly girls…
junk sold out before i could get a ticket Saturday.. but for all that is going check out fellow insomniacs Dave and Greg (Booth #4502) and their book creature box, really cool art,. and when you buy the book they make a drawing in it.. you can check out their other stuff here http://creaturebox.com/
yeah it looks like every other MMO out there. Orks and Dwarves. FFS it would be nice if someone had an original idea every once in a while, maybe an Arcanum themed MMO? That has yet to be done. But talk about beating a dead horse. Why did'nt they just use 40K? Tons of original races/creatures there.
Concept: In the concept, draw in something to represent the scale/size of the character. I wouldn't have known to think of him as a "giant" without having read the bit of info you posted about the creature. Texture: Some color variation can go a long way. Perhaps try bouncing some green glow/light off the body.
We're looking for a freelance 3D animator to animate characters to be used in Unity for an upcoming action game. The planned characters in the game that need to be animated are a combination of creature and humanoid characters. Ideally, you should be familiar with action games. We're looking to animate about 2-4 characters…
Just putzing around starting more than finishing.. I guess as long as the cogs are turning it doesn't matter what it is. New mech: a creature would be predisposed to make a machine in its same likeness, so it would make sense the Xios would have their own version (I'm sorry I suck at 2d art)
If you have fun do it. Take your time until its as good as you want it to be. In my case i try todo one char per year. My creations are only for me. Most people dont like creatures. If im on like hunt on Artstation i would do half naked Girls. 😁
