Yeah...seam will be distorted...however, you can use a little trick to fix it: Add an edit Poly Modifier between the Unwrap and the MSmooth Modifiers, select all edge and break them. Add a unwrap Modifier on top of MSmooth, open Channel Utilities and copy the Mapping Channel. Delete the edit Poly Modifier and copy the Map…
Yeah it's not your gfx card. Your normals are broken. I'm guessing because you are perhaps using non manifold geometry for the hair which Maya doesn't like. edit polygons>normals>set vertex normal> ( open dialog box ) >unlock normals. If that doesn't work reset all the normals. edit polygons>normals>set to face.
Both incorrect. It's in 4x4 blocks (16 pixels). DXT only stores two colors per block and interpolates the others, using 2 intermediate colors for DXT1, and either 4 or 6 (can't recall) for DXT2/3/4/5. Edit... made a quick edit of the page. Super busy, working the weekend in fact, but hope to add more later.
You sound like Bush wanting to invade the middle east. His way or the highway. That type of arrogance is why other countries are annoyed with the US. edit: ugghh, this is why I can't reply to you right away...I gotta wait till you are done editing a billion times and adding/changing/deleting... damn you and your sarcasm.
Crazybump is a crutch. Real men use Zbrush or paint the normal maps with a soft airbrush in Photoshop. FACT. EDIT: nVidia normalmap filter is still the bee's knees kids, don't ever forget that. EDIT #2: Yes this post is sarcastic. And yes there's a point to it; Hopefully those who aren't quite grasping Crazybump's value…
From what i heard there in the makes of a playable skaven race. But according to 8th edition rules (warhammer fantasy) skaven are allies with the forces of chaos. Which would lead to order players being like wtf guys wheres our brettonians or wood elves? Edit: which also leads me to the fact that the dwarves and (high)…
Ryan, I'm finding the type-in numerical fields kind of hard to use. The number becomes half-hidden when I edit it, making it hard to see what I'm typing. It would also be helpful if I could use arrow up/dn keys when editing, to increment in whole numbers up/dn, like Photoshop does.
I had started this for a capstone project last year before I graduated. I don't see myself going any further in developing it in the near future, but if anyone wants to play with it you're welcome to. Just consider it version 0. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26338627/Capstone.rar Edit: I'm dumb. I forgot to mention…
Hi when I select an edge loop on a edit poly , I select the edge then if I do cntrl + remove button in the ribbon ... it removes the edge and also the vertices, if I do the same thing on a Edit poly that is above another one in the stack , it removes the edge line but it leaves the vertices there and I have to go manually…
Hey guys, I have this common issue when unwrapping inside of Headus UV Layout: how do I fix these overlapping UV's ? *EDIT* Another problem Ive encountered with Headus UVLayout is that when I Save a WIP project inside of Headus I cannot re-edit it in 3dview anymore whenever I try to load it again. I think it is because…
