I don't know.. for $999 u can get the 12 inch Wacom, the 17 inch one above is $1417.75 for a 17 incher, or the Wacom 21 incher for a grand more then the xernon one... Not sure 1400 is still pretty high for me without having the wacom name behind it. -

Go wacom. Trust me it is worth it and will not let you down. I am not counting bamboo as wacom. At least get the graphire. used on ebay you can find a deal, or intuos 1 or two. Wacoms last forever so dont worry about getting an older one. -

You might notice that when you install the Wacom drivers it removes your 273 point calibration and resets everything. You can only do a fairly simplistic calibration when having the Wacom drivers installed which is extremely frustrating. I'm hoping Wacom update the drivers to provide better calibration options are… -

I dont know if a wacom makes you better at drawing but ctrl z certainly does help if you get my meaning :) I also seem to do better when im using the wacom but thats probably just because i use the wacom more in everyday "life" -

I have a surface pro, It's a very cool device, and if you like sketchbook pro and mostly plan on sketching, it's ready to go right now. However if you want to use zbrush or any software that replies on wintab drivers (basically, everything other than sketchbook pro and artrage as far as I know) you might want to wait.… -

I just tried both of my intuos 3 styluses ( classic and grip ) on a graphire 2 tablet and they did not work. Graphire2 stylus on the intuos 3 tablet doesn't work either. There doesn't seem to be any forward/backward compatibility in the Wacom world. Looking at styluses in the Wacom store, they all say something like this,… -
