Jordu Schell airbrushes his chavant sculpts. He mentioned he has maquettes sitting around his studio from 15 years ago so the stuff is pretty resilient. You can use turpenoid and alcohol with a cheap ass glue brush from the hardware store to smooth stuff. -

Amusingly enough, GM's using the new ZR1 as a test bed for the idea of most of their future fleet being made from carbon fiber; they're using the super-corvette to test durability and resilience of the car... granted, I think they're gonna find anyone buying a new ZR1 is gonna baby the damn thing so much… -

Thanks for the feedback Macattackk, The wood is varnished, so it's one of the glossiest parts. I like the interaction between the worn parts and the gloss. Maybe I could bring it down a bit though. There are no stains on the handle, that's just a patch where the varnish has rubbed off - looks darker because of the lighting… -

I've burned many discs over the years and keep them in a closet out of direct sunlight and all that other stuff, but when I had to dig some out again years later I found several that simply couldn't be read anymore. I've heard blu ray discs are much more resilient…
