I don't think that's true. If you edit the material into something that could be considered a different piece of art, it becomes your own. So taking the window of a building out of a flickr photo and putting it into your texture with some cleanup, mirroring and hue adjustments would probably be enough to get you off the… -

Call me crazy but I like wows look, and they dont use normals. Orcs must die and TF2 arent really hand painted as they are "painterly" looking -

try to reduce that wear off efect.. incorporate leakings from gun oil instead.. Planes with that much worn paint arent allowed to fly i think :) -

no they are not. well at least some stuff they arent. i remember using adjustment layers on cs3 and then when i opened the file in cs2 the adjustment layers lost their info. -
