I thought the music put an interesting spin on the 'silent' action, better than the generic death-metal track you might have expected. I'm strongly compelled to buy a damn 360, just for this (as others seem to be).
I read from a few sources now that it will be out in 2007, which ROCKS. I can play the PS2 version when it comes out, then when the 360 version hits, trade in both my controllers, the game and my PS2 and get the 360 version and an extra controller. AWESOMETASTIC.
Yes, it's sometimes referred to as specular power, cosine power, cosine falloff or glossiness. Cosine power is the most approriate term because it best desribes the math behind it. We either set it on a per-shader basis (set the spec power) or with a per-pixel map, usually stuffed into the alpha of the spec colour map. I…
DXn is one a the new formats used on the 360. I think it's 2 8-bit channels, for the red/green. Blue is obviously thrown out and recalculated. It is by far the most accurate (nearly the same as the original .tga's).

I sure hope that as we see what the 360 and PS3 can do we come to the understanding that customers are not as dumb as marketing keeps telling us. I hope we use this new found knowelege to make game stories and characters deeper and more emerse. Sadly since we have new hardware to push the limits of and the graphics bounds…
WHOA ! What did you use to model it with? if possible throw it into the UT ED, and see if it looks ok in there on a 360 spectrum see if you get that 2d look in that as well if so there should be a way to correct that while you're in it. ... maybe
We're also actively looking for new team members to help us rock out original design, art and technology on PS3 and Xbox 360 as well as contribute to our PSP efforts. HOLY JESUS!!! PSP EFFORTS
Looks incredibly fun. If you want to throw this on the 360, torque has an XNA engine that could easily handle the concept and conversion quickly. Good luck with the IGF!
